Terms of service

The short version

  • Loycol is a free shopping assistant on WhatsApp that finds product prices from UK retailers.
  • Prices come from other websites and can change. Check the price on the retailer’s site before you buy.
  • Loycol doesn’t sell products. You buy from the retailer, under the retailer’s terms.
  • Type STOP at any time to leave.

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use the Loycol shopping assistant on WhatsApp and the website loycol.com (together, the “Service”), provided by Loycol Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 13528835, with its registered office at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX (“Loycol”, “we”, “us”). You accept them when you reply “yes” to our welcome message in WhatsApp. Our privacy policy explains how we use your data.

2. Who can use Loycol

You must be 18 or over, live in the UK, and use a WhatsApp account you’re allowed to use. You must also follow WhatsApp’s own terms.

3. What Loycol does

Loycol searches publicly available information to show you current prices for the products you ask about, with links to the retailers. Loycol is in early access, so features may change, pause or stop while we improve it. The Service is free for shoppers.

4. Prices and information

We work hard to show accurate, up-to-date prices, but they come from third-party sources and can be wrong, out of date, or exclude delivery costs and stock. Results are a guide, not an offer to sell. Before you buy, confirm the price, delivery and terms on the retailer’s site.

Retailers don’t pay us to change the order of results. If we ever earn money from links, for example affiliate commission, we’ll label those links clearly, and it won’t change the price you pay.

5. You are the buyer

Loycol doesn’t sell products, take payments or act as your agent. Any purchase is a contract between you and the retailer, under the retailer’s terms. Questions about orders, delivery, refunds or faulty goods go to the retailer, and your consumer rights for those purchases are against the retailer.

6. Fair use

Please don’t use Loycol to break the law, send spam, harass anyone, try to access our systems without permission, copy or resell our results, or use automated tools to send large numbers of messages. We may limit messages, pause access or remove anyone who does, to protect the Service and other people.

7. Third-party services

Loycol runs on WhatsApp and links to retailers’ websites. Those services are run by other companies, under their own terms. Loycol isn’t endorsed by or connected with WhatsApp, Meta or the retailers we show.

8. Our intellectual property

The Loycol name, logo, website, software and content belong to Loycol Limited. You may use the Service for your own personal shopping. If you send us ideas or feedback, you agree we may use them to improve Loycol without owing you anything. Product names and brands belong to their owners.

9. Our responsibility to you

We provide Loycol with reasonable care and skill. Because the Service is free and prices come from third parties, we aren’t responsible for losses caused by retailers, by changes to their prices or stock, or by events outside our reasonable control, and we aren’t responsible for business losses.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn’t allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

10. Ending your use

You can stop at any time by typing STOP. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or close the Service with reasonable notice where we can.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change affects you, we’ll tell you in WhatsApp before it applies. If you keep using Loycol after that, the new terms apply.

12. Law and complaints

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or of Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there. If something goes wrong, contact support@loycol.com first and we’ll try to fix it.
